From the Library's Teacher Blog: informational texts with Multiple formats and viewpoints

This week, we want to call your attention to an interesting post from the Teaching with the Library of Congress blog by Cheryl Lederle who proposes that, “the more complex the issue, the more varied the perspectives on it”:

Informational Texts with Multiple Points of View in Multiple Formats

She demonstrates this idea by focusing on the topic of immigration with documents in several formats: a political cartoon, statistical table and sheet music, as well as links to related sets of primary sources and other resource material for you.

If you haven’t yet subscribed, the Teaching with the Library of Congress blog is a great teaching resource.  Check it out!
